The Louisiana Department of Insurance is working to compile an active list of insurers offering assistance during this time, but you should check with your insurer if you do not see them listed.

American National is providing a 15 percent credit to monthly personal auto policy premiums for April and May. The credit will be applied to all There is nothing you need to do to receive the credit, the company will begin issuing credits by mid-May. Credits will be applied based on your payment plan – see below for more information.
- If you’ve already paid or have amounts due less than the credit, we’ll issue a refund check for the remaining amount
- If you owe more than the credit, we’ll adjust your total amount due
- If you are on automatic payments, your credit will be applied to your remaining payments
Chubb Insurance
Chubb is providing its personal auto insurance clients in the U.S. with a credit on annual renewal premiums as a result of reduced driving activity.
Upon renewal, clients will receive a credit reflecting a 35% premium reduction for the months of April and May, with additional discounts for subsequent months, as the situation warrants. Across Chubb's portfolio, the average credit is expected to be $110 per vehicle. Clients will not have to request the credit; it will be applied automatically at renewal.
GEICO

GEICO is providing a 15 percent credit to auto and motorcycle policyholders as your policy comes up for renewal between April 8 and October 7, 2020. The credit will also apply to any new policies purchased during this period. The credit is part of ongoing efforts to assist policyholders during this unprecedented time.

Shelter will issue a payment to policyholders representing approximately 30% of their personal auto monthly premium for the months of April and May, based on their best estimate of the impact of this pandemic on customers and on Shelter’s business.
If a customer paid their premium automatically through a bank account, Shelter will deposit directly into the account when possible. Otherwise, Shelter will mail a check.
State Farm

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, the nation’s largest auto insurer, is announcing up to a $2 billion dividend that will go to its auto insurance customers.
On average, State Farm Mutual auto customers can expect to receive a credit of about 25 percent of premium for the time period March 20 through May 31. Every State Farm Mutual auto insurance customer will receive credits applied against bills beginning as early as June.
