Department of Insurance Deputy Commissioner Clarissa A. Preston Speaks to the Baton Rouge Exchange Club on August 5

Clarissa A. Preston, Department of Insurance Deputy
Commissioner of the Office of Consumer Advocacy spoke to the Baton
Rouge Exchange Club on Wednesday, August 5, at the Golden Corral
restaurant in Baton Rouge.
Ms. Preston distributed informational brochures and
spoke to attendees about the importance of maintaining insurance
and the new insurance
laws enacted during the 2009 Legislative Session. Ms. Prestons
main topic of discussion was hurricane preparedness. Ms. Preston
reminded
attendees that even though hurricane season has begun it is never
too late to get prepared.
