Baton Rouge Agent Issued Cease and Desist Order, License Revocation
and Fine Notice

A Baton Rouge agent was served
by Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators today
with a
cease and desist
order,
license revocation
and fine notice for alleged misappropriation.
David Mark Lehman, 55, was served by the Department of Insurance
Fraud Section Investigators today with a cease and desist
order, license revocation and $2,500 fine notice.
Lehman allegedly failed to timely remit $11,542 in premiums
to the life insurance company with which he was employed.
He has
paid back
a portion of the balance of premium but still owes the
company $2,171.
Department records show that Lehman was issued a Life,
Health and Accident license in September 1988 which was
valid until
being
summary suspended today. His license will be revoked
in 30 days unless he
requests a hearing with the Department of Insurance to
contest the regulatory action taken against him.
