A Lake Charles agent was served by Department of Insurance
Fraud Section Investigators today with a notice of proposed action
and
fine notice
for alleged issuance of bonds without proper authority to issue said
bonds and without taking necessary and proper steps with regards
to issuing companies in order for them to determine whether or
not to
underwrite the bonds.
Charles Martin Ward, 56, was served by the Department of Insurance
Fraud Section Investigators today with notice of proposed action
and a $500 fine notice.
Department records show that Ward held a Life, Health and Accident
license effective September 1984, valid through April 2008 and a
Property and Casualty license effective October 1991, valid through
April 2009.
Ward has 30 days from the time of notice to file a written demand
for an administrative hearing to contest the regulatory action taken
against
him by the Department of Insurance. Commissioner Donelon urges consumers
who feel uneasy about any insurance related transaction to call the
